Clarke made her way through the town, just as the sun was setting. She was all alone, but that wasn’t a great new thing these days; while it was encouraged to always have someone with you, Clarke preferred being on her own. And it seemed that feeling was also mutual among so many of the people around her too, so many of those she knew--they’d rather traverse the land alone than at her side.
Clarke saw a figure up ahead, and she tilted her head, not recognizing him, as his back was to her. He didn’t seem like anyone she knew, and it wasn’t often she came across people she hadn’t seen--or at least knew about--before. Her shoulders subconsciously tensed as she continued approaching, meaning to just walk right past him, for surely he wouldn’t need to bother her...
