Rewatching Buffy has made me again appreciate just how much smart work was put into making Buffy's fights against demons and bad guys who are twice the size of Sarah and her stunt doubles, Sophia, Michele, and Melissa, look believable. Yeah, Buffy is super strong and could easily bench press Arnold Schwarzenegger but we have to actually see her battle evil so we know she is good at fighting. So many female lead action properties nowadays use editing to cover up their stunt team's deficiencies or the fact that their lead actress has no background in dance or athletics and therefor looks awkward as all hell in fight scenes.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer is still my favorite media property. In so many ways, other genre shows fail to match it.

Bonus:
When Johansson gets punched in the face, Heidi Moneymaker takes the hit. When Elizabeth Olsen crashes through a window, it's C.C. Ice who ends up with scratches. Hollywood's most unsung behind-the-scenes heroes star in a Hollywood Reporter photo portfolio.
Scroll down to read about SMG and her stuntwomen Michele Waitman and Jessica Barker. It was a cute lil read lol
“The first time I got to go through glass felt like heaven," laughs Barker, 46, who started her stunt career on the show (it was only her second professional job). "It felt so wrong and so right."
