Micheline Ostermeyer (1922-2001) was a French athlete who won Olympic medals in several disciplines. She was also a talented concert pianist.
She won three medals at the 1948 Olympics in London, two of which were gold – thus becoming the first Frenchwoman to win three medals in a single event. The same day, she performed at the Royal Albert Hall. She focused on her music, and continued touring for fifteen years.
