First post, an introduction

I've just switched to Tumblr and am starting afresh with my blog.

For those who don't know me, I'm a sculptor specialising in the use of recycled/found materials.  I make people, animals and other creations from a wide range of materials, including metal, wood, plastics and household waste such as aluminium cans, plastic bags, paper and card.

Here's a link to my website if you want to find out more - www.michelle-reader.co.uk - and below is an image of a recent sculpture to whet your appetite.  It's called Bombus Lucorum and is a bumble bee made entirely from reclaimed materials including plastic cutlery, a respirator, plastic buckets, garden hose and an old umbrella.
