Driving with sharks?
Keith and Mick with 'controversial' manager Allen Klein in the back of a limo in New York (September 1967)
Vice. And Versa.
Not quite what the financers and mainstream pop fans expected:
PERFORMANCE, starring Mick Jagger, James Fox and Anita Pallenberg, filmed in 1968 and released hesitantly two years later in most countries, was too much ahead of its time.
Successful actor James Fox dropped out of the film business for ten years after his "Performance" experience
Red Hot Black-Haired Mick 1968
The red-black Mick Jagger painting was a popular poster sold in poster-shops in the late 1960s/early 1970s.
In the back is a photo from the Performance film set. Mick sits in front of two posters and the PRAVDA poster is by Guy Peellaert who designed the "It's Only Rock'n Roll But I like It" album of 1973.
Live action with Brian and Mick 1965
Another great shot by Gered Mankowitz - grainy due to low stage lighting and people in motion but well capturing the early Rolling Stones live stage feeling
Mick Jagger
*BIG BOB and MIGHTY MICK in 1966*
Bob Dylan toured the United Kingdom in May 1966. He had a famous meeting with John Lennon, but did not meet any of the Stones during this tour (as far as I know). But here, Bob is reading a music weekly of May 1966 with Mick on the cover.
*** For friends of European football and The Rolling Stones only***
Child of the ... cup? No expectations? Start me up?
It's only football but I like it?
Harry Kane, Mick Jagger and Charlie Watts anxiously await the EURO 2024 final England: Spain in Berlin
