Humans

we do not create servants

we create masters

we create models

and we try to be them.

we do not learn to govern

we learn to make a governor

we make powers

and we try to hold them

we make perfection, we say

and we try to be perfect.

we want to change ourselves

and we want to become

less humans

we want people

who are less humans,

and more of what we create-

we call that perfection.

perfection is not human

we applaud all who are far away from being human.

we feed on perfection,

and diss the humans.

we are not creating service

and we donot serve.

we create masters.

we make sure they are not human,

because we

do not applaud humans.

Waves

i am in waves.

i am in waves of motion-

motions that never cease.

they take over me, and no matter how hard i try

i can not stop them

i can not resist them.

i am filled with despair

but what frightens me

is that

maybe, that's who i am

a shadow of grief

dancing on this land

trying to reach out to objects

to stop the waves.

but do i want to? would i be able to-

will i?

should i?

i fear losing myself after the waves halt

i no longer know

whether it's me in attempts to step away

or submerge into the waves.

am i different from them?

i am the waves

the waves that wash over me

are me myself

declaring to my existence

there's no escape.

Dead End

When I wrote this piece, my mind was blank. I did not know what I meant, what I was talking about, it was just these words getting heavy in my brain and I just felt like collapsing under the weight of my guilt. But as I shared it, many people saw many different points. My best friends saw this as her struggle with her identity, coming in terms with her sexuality around others. The other found it pointing out her daily conflict with 'not being like others girls'. Another found it as her lack of motivation of getting through the world.

And honestly? This is why my writing is so indirect. Because I want people to capture the essence not in the reason I wrote it, but what they take out of it. I am aware of the different aspects I may cover with a single piece. I have no intention of shouting out my pain and suffering. I scream them into these words, but you listen to them as your own.
