They called my friend Lafura Jackson ha(l)fu, for his half-African, half-Asian ancestry. For his half-American, half-Japanese cultural heritage. They called him ha(l)fu, but he refused and rejected their label, and all it implied. He asserted he wasn't *half* of anything. He was *Twice*. A-Twice.
