Random tidbit from your Fairy Feral Godmother 🧚🏻♀️ but if anyone else is pissed off that Microsoft Office thinks they're the be all and end all of programs and wants to stick to the man -
I use FreeOffice, download it and when you open your docs e.g.Word docs just right click and select "Open With TextMaker". It works just the same.
I've found everything very easily compatible with Microsoft documents and had no issues so far!
