my The Amazing Digital Circus OC moodboard: can you guess what she is? I’ve been forgetting my main fandoms I’m in and I totally forgot to share my tadc oc lol — so here they are.
Her name is Codey (or Coda) and they’re a demigender child (mainly because Codey cannot remember if they were a boy or girl in the real world, will bring this back later). He’s based on the really old 2000’s computers that will crash and bring you the blue screen of death after a simple google search. She actually has a terrible memory (short term memory loss + adhd + attention span of a goldfish), and they had a memory chip in his chest until she broke it in an adventure but they forgot how he broke it.
So now she’s just a computer kid with terrible memory, they actually are super sweet and energetic basic little kid activities. He’s the only one who’s excited for adventures and games by Caine, but she’s extremely gullible and naive. They repeat the same phrases over and over again or even repeats what he said twice, and even introduces herself multiple times each episode making it hard for her to realize the seriousness of the situation.
Since they’re based off a 2000s computer, he has a bunch of different reactions on his screen. If she’s overwhelmed her screen switches to a blue screen of death with the typical dial up internet sound. And then he shuts off with a black screen and tumbles over like a rag doll that can’t stand on its own, one of the cast members will need to restart her (usually Ragatha or Kinger) but Jax personally likes to pick them up and shake him like an etch and sketch or hit her screen until the Microsoft XD windows chime plays (she’s rebooted).
And often at times when they repeat the same phrases, everyone groans saying “Yes Coda, we know it’s the 7th time you said it.”. Her most common phrase is “Hi, I’m Codey. I’m lost, can you help me?” (iykyk). And sometimes Codey speaks in code (hence why he got their name because when she first appeared she spoke in code) so bubble and Coda have they’re own little convos (SAME WITH CAIN, Cain is delighted to have a little kid who adores his adventures as much as Codey. I mean she is a child and the circus looks like it was built to entertain children so of course she enjoys this place, no school no homework no bedtime.) But ofc, despite her being a silly there’s always trauma… I’ll bring it up later if you guys wanna hear more lmao.
