Microsoft will continue to support Windows 7 for business users who purchase extended security updates. Owners of Windows virtual desktops will also be eligible to receive security updates for three years at no additional charge. Essential software such as Office 365 Pro-Plus will continue to be supported and will be supported by January 2023 with Windows 7 Extended Security Update.

 Third-party applications such as Google's Chrome browser on Windows 7 will be supported until at least July 2021. Expiration dates for new Chromium-based edge browsers were not mentioned.
