Seeking Housing DFW area
TPI has a received a request for help finding housing from a young trans woman (32 years old), employed full time in the Galleria area.
Emilie has transportation, she doesn’t smoke, she leans toward being vegetarian (but it’s difficult while dealing with housing instability), and she is ok with pets. She also is very involved in music, playing guitar, piano, and some violin as well as singing. She is energetic and determined, has a positive outlook, and likes to talk. Emilie has health insurance and is in good health. She can afford about $550, possibly $600, per month for her housing.
Emilie has been homeless for several months after moving back here (she lived in Fort Worth before) from a small town in west Texas, where her safety was at risk as she tried to transition. Her housing difficulty is due to a broken lease a couple years ago related to a situation that put her health in danger – she can explain more fully, but it was a one-time event that is causing long-term problems.
If you would like to know more or connect with Emilie and talk to her, please contact Nell at TPI and we can provide more information or connect you: 214-394-9835 or [email protected].
