Sensex down 233 points; midcap index lower by 111 points

Mmbai, April 16 : A benchmark index of the Indian equities markets, the 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), was trading in the red in the post-afternoon session on Thursday. It was down 233.55 points or 0.81 percent.

The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National STOCK EXCHANGE (NSE) was also trading in the red. It was down 81.90 points or 0.94 percent at 8,668.30 points.
