ok but imagine how worried Hide must have been every time his father walked out the door to go out and fight ghouls, and then after finding out his father had died just made him feel so alone where he was consumed by thoughts of how powerless he was to do anything to save him. Then years later when Kaneki leaves Hide decides that he’s not powerless anymore, this time he won’t let another person that he really cares about die...he won’t fail to bring him home.

This honestly sticks out to me as one of the happiest panels I’ve seen of Kaneki, that death wish is long gone.
You want to know why...it’s not just because Touka is there, it’s not just because Hide is there. Its because they are both there. They are both equally important and will both serve as Kaneki’s motivation to live

All the Mutsurie moments in this episode gave me such life, I mean we had so many flashbacks to the hug & it was amazing
Damn it looked like Mutsuki was about to kiss Urie right here, and I can’t explain how much I wanted that to happen (If there was a time to go off manga Pierrot, this would have been it)
