One Button MIDI Mapping Contest
There is a lot of power that comes with designing something with only one button. In our society, when we see only one button by itself (usually colored red), we know this symbolizes something very large in scope. Sometimes, the big red button is meant to shut a system completely down – or perhaps it is the opposite, to start something up that was once dead. A popular staples commercial sort of made a joke at this idea with their “that was easy” button. Most of what DJs used are chock full of buttons, and half of them will never be used or press. In fact, I still have buttons on my mixer that I am really unsure of. I almost believe that they do nothing at all and were simply put there for me to wonder about. Can one button ever mean anything for the DJ or turntablist? It is kind of hard to imagine what one button could actually do, other than well, an auto sync button. If you think you have the nerve to create something like this, you could actually be rewarded for what might be only a small amount of work. One button is all it needs to be. http://www.djtechtools.com/2014/09/14/one-button-midi-mapping-contest-and-tutorial/
