Quietly, Leslie huddled below the large tree. It had been half a day in this strange new land and.. She had grown very hungry! But none of these plants seemed to be anything like what she was used to.
For now, she cradled a handful of berries she had seen an animal nibbling at. If an animal ate it, that meant it was safe, right?

Luka’s used to hanging out in high places, but trying to see through the dark in a forest is not being made any easier by climbing the trees. Which is...a disappointment. He sighs, giving up and jumping down from his perch, landing in front of someone who’s...quite attractive.
“Uh, hey there. Hope I didn’t startle you. I’m trying to decide if I should try to find the demons...or the witches.”
He frowns, as he looks in the direction he was told the witches lived in. He’s dealt with witches before--and demons, but the demons kind of scare him. Witches also kind of low-key scare the crap out of him, but he feels slightly more confident talking to them.
“I have experience with both--” Not good experience, necessarily, but experience. “What are you thinking? A couple guys as attractive as us could probably handle the witches. ...Unless they’re all gay, I do know a lesbian witch.”

Eternal darkness isn’t too unusual for Luka to deal with. Well, maybe a little bit--but he’d also seen Bayonetta basically fight a god like, twice. Still, he’s been roped into helping bring back a Sage of Dark or whatever, and he’s decided that gathering raven feathers or maybe getting blood from a demon aren’t too hard.
...On second thought, maybe he didn’t want to deal with demons. Angels were worse, but...
Alright, yeah, if he’s doing this, he’s not doing it alone, so he decides to hit up the closest attractive stranger.
“Hey, uh...would you mind going with me to get some of those materials they say we need? I was thinking maybe feathers or the demon blood. The...demon blood might be tricky, though.”

There was a strange feeling of camaraderie between them, as if the potential to bond resided somewhere within the mercy of time. She thinks this to herself as she marvels her fellow compatriot wielding a magical firearm with little to no trouble, despite it being nearly twice her size.
It was at this moment that Haru realized she was the image of idealism that she subconsciously sought after. 🐏 》 Liaisons have suddenly become monumental in this predicament. In spite of the haphazard situation they’ve found themselves in, and seemingly without their powers ( from what she’s garnered through Ryuji ), it felt as if their only solution was to continue trudging through the madness. Having initially believed they were transported to an anomaly of a palace, the encounter of an unaffiliated student from their academy proved her suspicions wrong. Not only that, it was... extremely concerning.
So much that she sprung into action to defend her underclassman from a prowling beast without Mi’Lady in tow, just to discover that all she could do was grab her wrist and make a run for the nearest shelter. It wasn’t the most heroic of actions, but it bought them some time. Still, it felt...

🐏 》 Despite herself and all the challenges she’s encountered, there was still some joy to be found in a familiar face. In all honesty, she hadn’t expected to find him here, let alone in the predicament he was! ( He wasn’t in peril danger, per say, but he did look a little lost in the forest. ) For someone with the codename Noir, it only felt fitting to dash ahead in front of him in a grand fashion and boast her regional repertoire.
❝ Ufufu, are you lost, young man? Never fear, for Noir is here! I will show you the way. ❞
Of course, it’s all part of her facade. Surely he’s recognized her by now.

It isn’t every day she gets stopped in her Noir garb. Why, she never gets stopped in it at all, considering up until now, it’s never been presented to the general public. Granted, this is a makeshift rendition of it, but still! ❝ Is it, perhaps, my charisma? Should I be more emphatic? ❞ True heroes do shine more when they’re more confident. Hesitantly, she corrects her evil-fighting pose with a touch more oomph and slants the tip of her cavalier hat. ❝ L-Like this? I’m not certain whether or not this will impact anything, but perhaps confidence could be used as a bargaining chip for one of those items we need? ❞

In spite of the current predicament, the pair can be found defying the norm inside of a relatively desolate noodle booth. Nobody in their right mind would venture for a meal in these trying times, let alone keep their business open for such daring patrons, but the stars seemed to have aligned and given the two hungry femmes the company of a most audacious and passionate ramen weaver.
❝ Perhaps we shouldn’t be here right now, but with the ongoing pandemonium, this place feels like a temporary respite. Even if... we must dine with caution, and behave as if hungry eyes are trained on our backs. ❞
