How I imagine Gri was looking at Morphling

Guys. I have a theory.

SPOILERS FOR CHAPTER 13 OF MIDNIGHT STRANGERS

So, in Midnight Strangers by @/seriouslycalamitous , at the end of chapter 13, Grian is knocked out after Terra broke his arm. We know this. But just moments earlier Daybreak and Blackhole ran into the room, panicking.

We can logically assume the section with Ringmaster starts a little before Grian's ends. After he blows up the first bomb, Daybreak and Blackhole are told to get Terra, while panicking, because Ringmaster wants to speak to Grian. And just a few moments later he does.

But riddle me this batman, how was Grian awake? Grian has just passed out.

My theory is, earlier in the chapter Morphling said to wake up Grian he'd electrocute him again. So in thoes few moments Grian was out, while the mic was muted, Morphling electrocuted Grian again.

To further my point, when the mic is turned back on, theres a crackling. Sure it could just be the phone mics, or it could be Morphlings staff. And sure, Grian's quiet scratchy voice could just be from. Everything. Like screaming when his arm was broken. Or it could be from screaming if they electrocuted him awake.

I like to imagine they electrocuted the already broken arm. Just for the pain factor.

I could be completely wrong, or this could be something that's obvious and I think I'm so smart noticing but idk man...

Like i dont fully think he’s just extremely just evil. He CARES. He cared about sunbreaker/pearl’s dogs with her (at least i reckon?? am rusty tho havent reread in a hot sec)

and i believe him leaving ‘everyone behind’ wasn’t cause he’s selfish or anything, just because he trusted them to come out on top.

i think. Ms told in the perspective of morphling would be extremely cool. He has veeery interesting morals (but its there!!) and im shaking him in a jar

(also off topic but GOD HE COULD HAVE SURVIVED THAT LAST FUGHT SO EASILY- like imagine he shapeshifted into say an octopus or a space bear < bilingual bare with me, both of which don’t necessarily need one heart to live, and bam (pun intended) he lives..) (< coping. hes alive trust he became bug and escaped- <insane and coping)
