Prompt: "EOS? Is that you? What are you doing in here?"
Oh. Oh dear. EOS freezes for a moment, locked in a silent flurry of emotions. It's late, just past midnight and well past the time she should be in bed. She's not supposed to be in the infirmary now; she's certainly not dressed for it in her light, summery nightdress. But she'd had a ping from the security systems in there that there was movement, and that woke her up.
It won’t be more than a few minutes, she'd thought. Just slip out and down to the infirmary to check, then back to bed. It's probably just Elijah anyway. Where could Mr. Tracy go with both of his legs set up in casts? Or perhaps Mr. Tracy was restless, or couldn't sleep? Did he need water? Or food?
There's no need for lights when your eyes have a night-vision function, and she slips silent as a ghost though the darkened house to the infirmary. She never truly expected anyone to be awake in there, and doesn't bother with turning on the lights at first for fear of waking their patient. The same patient, she discovers as she nears the divider, who seems to be attempting to get out of his safe hospital bed, and the same one who just called out to her. The same patient who can probably see the green glow from her eyes in the darkness. Darting backwards, EOS flicks the lights on, hoping she didn't frighten him somehow, and cautiously approaches the bed again.
"Mr. Tracy? Is there something you need? You know you aren't supposed to be up yet!" Her voice is a loud whisper as she walks over. She's never interacted with Jeff without someone else nearby, and has told him next to nothing about herself, other than her name and that she's an assistant for Elijah. He's had enough stress in his life since he vanished, she doesn't need to throw "Unexpected Fully-Sentient Robotic Granddaughter" into the mix just yet.
