Hi there! I came across your blog today and I really truly love your art veeery much :'))) for an aspiring artists myself, do you have any art tips? I'm struggling with drawing figures/poses/proportions and my imagination is limited Orz oshietekudasai sensei!
thank you kindly! i’m still learning a lot tbh so i might not be able to give the most cohesive advice.
the main thing i keep in mind is how i can simplify the figure into just 3D blocks and planes. these are some pages from one of andrew loomis’ figure drawing books which i find is pretty helpful explaining in what i mean.
dont overcomplicate, these blocks just form the basic framework to hang your persons skin and clothes on!! tracing these shapes over anatomical figures or musculature diagrams can often help with proportion too.
additionally, theres no shame in using photo references to understand how poses can work. these are just a few stock images i found, and i did some simplified figures next to them.
everyone struggles whether they’ve been drawing for 10 years or are only starting out, but really the best way is just to keep practicing and doing lots of studies so you understand how the human figure can move and pose. nothing beats hard work and practice so i hope this helps somewhat and good luck!
Hello again! I hope you're doing well :) I have a question (again) about Ikemen Sengoku. I've been following your walkthrough (choosing the +4:+4 choices) and I'm on episode 10 now. So far both romantic and dramatic have equal points so how does it actually work? Will I get to choose between both routes or is there anything specific I need to do before reaching that point so I can choose either one? I'm a bit confused and anxious ;;;
You can choose either ending because you will have equal points. Edit: You need at least 40 points towards an ending in order to play it.
In order to get max rewards for each ending, you need to max out your scale. The only way to do that is to choose all the +4:+4 answers all the way to the end of the route.
Hi! This is something I'm struggling with when it comes to my art but how did you overcome the problem of drawing characters with very similar/same faces? :)
i try to incorporate a strong emphasis on shape language!! i generally work with one basic main shape and a certain type of line for whatever character i’m drawing and try to work the rest of the character around that shape (ex. when i’m drawing iida i tend to work with rectangles/squares and a lot of sharp angles). it takes a lot of effort though but by pushing some features more you can achieve a lot of variation!
this is a p good tutorial in general tho i found!
Hello! I was wondering whether you'll be updating here about DOGS B&C once Miwa-sensei it? I'm not sure if it already has continued... ;;;
Hello!
Sorry if this blog hasn’t been keeping up with things, I’ve been without a laptop for over a year and just got a new one this last week. I’m slowly catching up personally to everything DOGS and Miwa related and will be trying my best to start catching this tumblr up as soon as I can with any news on his work.
Apologies if that wasn’t the immediate answer you wanted but I will try to work quickly.

For the original concept it was said Kirishima...
Wanting to be a hero for the girl he likes..sounds really cool but a bit stereotypical isn’t it? Personally I hope sensei tweaks that a bit ;;
I mean, yeah kinda? We don’t know the full story yet so it might be a bit more complex than we thought or Horikoshi might have changed his ideas with the time. Though he already thought of Kirishima’s past looks like 3 chapters into the series (dull guy with black hair in the exam) so I feel like some things are already set in stones which I absolutely love with Horikoshi’s writing tbh.
I’m just really looking forward to see what finally is Kirishima’s backstory( or origins)!
Hello! I have a question about DGM :) I haven't followed the series in really long and I'm planning to start it again soon. Was the series on another hiatus? Is it not being updated often? Please do tell me what the status is with the anime ; v ; I hope it isn't much trouble!
Alright. It hasn’t been on an “official” hiatus in a while, but updates have been sporadic and all over the place. We only have had one chapter this year (if you don’t count the one coming out this week), and it was a tiny six page...mess? But hopefully with our support and if her health allows, Hoshino will keep updating at least quarterly.
As for the anime, Hallow wrapped up last season, and I haven’t heard talks of anything new for that either. Especially given that Hallow pretty much followed all the way up to where we are now in the manga. Maybe in time once there’s more material, we could get more of the anime, but I’m not sure.
Honestly I’d probably sell my left leg for a reboot of the anime?
Hello! Were you able to watch the Hare Matsuri 2016 video that you just reblogged? I tried but it shows the Video uploader's account got terminated :(
