After dinner, we decided to see the night scene at the Dotombori canal. One of the most iconic places that one must visit when coming to Osaka is Dotonbori and its landmark Glico Running Man sign. By this time, we were familiar with the train stations. Walked a few blocks to Hommachi Station, caught the Midsuji Line train, after 3 stations we got off Namba Station and walked about 5 minutes to Dotonbori. Going to and coming back from Dotombori is like traversing through a sea of people. If you like the excitement of being in a crowd, this place is for you. One thing I can say, although I was in a crowd in a foreign country, I feel safe; not worried about pick-pockets, snatch thieves or being threatened in any way. I am in Japan. Look for the Ebisu bridge along the Dotombori canal and you will see the famous Glico Running Man sign. The original sign was put up 80 years ago. It has gone through several replacements. It is still there. It was jammed packed with people. The tourists were taking pictures while the locals were shopping and eating dinner. Since we already had dinner and we did not plan to buy anything, we just busy ourselves people watching. Thought about taking the river canal boat ride up and down the Dotonbori canal but the crowd put us off. After tired watching people, we went home. #Japan #Osaka #GlicoRunningMan #Hommachi #MidsujiLine #Dotomburi https://www.instagram.com/ajosh1960/p/CX8VK6KJLcp/?utm_medium=tumblr
