It's election night tonight in The U. S. A.
Midterms. Not even the big election.
But, I got a message for everyone under the legal voting age.
Turn the news off. Step away from the TV. Go get a glass of water. Turn off the notifications.
And just. Remember that this is a random night in a random month.
You're still a kid. You can't vote yet.
Don't lose your heart in something that shouldn't be killing you yet. Don't waste your emotions praying that it works out in the way you want. Because what could you have done to change it?
Don't lose your soul to this mess. Not yet. You've got a few more years Before it becomes your responsibility.
So just. Take a step back. Turn off the livestream. Leave the living room.
Go to bed.
The country is changing. But you don't need to watch.
It's not your job, not your responsibility.
It's gonna be okay.
People always lie and say that if certain things don't happen it will be just like such and such a dystopian horror film. That's mind games. It's supposed to work on you.
Let go.
Take a step back. Go get a glass of water. Don't watch the TV with your parents.
Don't let it stress you out, yet, beloved.
The country is changing.
But why should you have to sit there and watch?
