brought the ladies in, because its getting cold and mom was worried about the babies freezing. if nothing else, having them in the room i spend most my time in will help socialize and bombproof the babies, haha
our local fatty pants valor munchin on some delicious celery!!
went to go check on jack, and he wasnt running up to greet me like normal. after a moment of panic, i realized he'd dug himself a lil den in some hay!

hey lads, im back! the future farms midwest division has been growing under the watchful eye of mi madre, with eleven 8wk old babes, and more than a dozen day old babies, and more to come!
tough days at the midwest division of future farm.
today started with the discovery that blackpaw had 8 live, healthy babies! one wandered out of the huddle and froze, proving the first dead kit in the future farm. but eight feisty future politicians! they squeaked up a storm when i checked em out haha
bee’s litter went much worse.
first sign something was wrong was blood streaked through the cage, with a placenta or two outside. in the carrier she chose to give birth in, i found seven kits- one underdeveloped, three who had froze, and three who were cold. i rushed to warm them up, wiped off dried blood with a warm damp towel, and put them in the nest with rosemary’s litter.
after a couple hours, my mom came home and wanted to see what had happened. she complained the carrier was attracting flies, and began removing straw when i heard a kit squealing. lo and behold, there was one more of bee’s kits, buried under the nesting material. it had been alone for several hours in the nest, and survived. its a fighter.
send words to ur preferred deity that bee and her litter will be okay, pls?
