He'd worked with his fair share of people in the past, but it was rare people in those lines of work lived long enough to work with him again. If anything, it was a testament to how good at his job the other was.

"What're you doin' back here?" He spoke casually, like they'd met hundreds of times in the past. "It's not exactly calm these days."

Rei stares out one of the large windows inside Izaya’s apartment, watching the raindrops slide down the glass. Rainy days like this are her favorite. It’s too bad she’s stuck inside. Stuck inside with him. A small dejected sigh escapes her lips before she turns away, attention brought back to the book in her lap.

He was, almost literally, in hell. He'd done everything he could think of to try and remove the handcuffs, but for some reason or another, they just wouldn't break. Countless strings of curses later, he was absolutely seething.

Izaya was lucky he wasn't willing to drag a dead body around town with him today.

"I'll kill you once we get these damn cuffs off." At least he was his same old self, ready for a fight once he was done breaking through the seemingly impenetrable cuffs.

Now that she spent a lot of time around Izaya, she saw he brother less and less. It wasn't surprising to see him enter the apartment, but it was somewhat uncomfortable. He was her brother, but he wasn't a very good person to be around.

He, on the other hand, seemed to be business only. He didn't like Izaya-- Mostly for the simple reason he had no idea what his end goal with them both was-- But Rose was around to annoy him less and less.

"How was it-?" Rose dared a quick question, offering up a warm smile in hopes of easing the uncomfortable tension. Not that she even really knew what it was.

"It's done. Discreetly, as asked." Vance spoke, arms crossed. "Anything else?"

"If you want adventure, ask my sister. She'll put up with whatever you throw at her." He knew from experience, she was very tolerant. "She's perfect for whatever sick shit you're into."

Crossing his arms, he leaned back, eyeing the other suspiciously. "That's not a very typical request for someone like me. You gotta know that much." He wasn't the type to go out of his way if it wasn't for a good reason.

"But if you're serious, it'll only cost you a little extra." He had no problems if the right price was paid, at least.

"That's not the problem." If anything, the info broker had proven himself plenty of times. He wasn't concerned about that aspect of him. His work was often exceptional.

"If you want the truth, I think you're fucking insane." It was an easy statement to make, having secretly observed just how much the other reveled in watching others struggle. "That's neither here nor there, though." He offered a shrug, sighing as he looed down at the other.

"If I needed anything, I would have asked. I can handle this on my own. I need to be there, anyways."

"Fuck you, I'll be as extreme as I want to be." It was childish, but he could never seem to shake that part of him.

He cocked the gun, glaring hard at the other man. "I've had enough. All you do is play games with me. I'm not gonna keep paying you to give me nonsense. Either you're in, or you're dead."
