I remember it like it was yesterday...

Once upon a time, many years ago...

There was a human. He grew up very lonely and miserable.

No friends, no family. He was very desperate to fit in with others, but he was constantly ignored and neglected.

And he knew the reason why...

Because of his face.

His no-good, plain, boring face.

With a spell, he was able to cast away the thing he resented so badly... Then all of a sudden, he disappeared.

All that was left was a soul filled with jealousy and hatred.

The soul was eventually sealed in a box. His envy and loneliness grew stronger...

But then he heard a voice... He could sense someone nearby...

A simple employee at a HP Banana factory... Though, he wasn't sure if he'll be happy making bananas for all his life.

And that's when he heard him...

"If you let me out, I can give you any power in the world! I can make you a very powerful being!"

Tempted by those words, he opened the box and the soul was free.

And the Dark Lord was born...

From then on, with a heart corrupted by darkness and anger, he didn't have the desire to fit in.

He began to make everyone in Miitopia suffer as he did. He took their faces, and to add insult to injury, he placed them on monsters.

That is until a group of heroes arrived. No matter what happened during their journey, they were able to work together and their powers grew stronger.

But so did the Dark Lord's...

Later on, the Great Sage was free and the soul was sealed again. He couldn't move, he didn't bother trying.

After his past was revealed, one of the heroes couldn't stand to see him suffer... They didn't have the heart to get rid of him...

So, using their divine power, they gave the soul a face...

He woke up... The first thing he saw was two people with gentle smiles on their faces...

They didn't see a being with anger in his eyes...

They didn't see a spirit blinded by jealousy...

They didn't see a curse of darkness...

They didn't see a broken soul...

They saw...
