Do they have any sleeping habits? (Moving around, stealing the blankets, etc.)He can be just as violent of a sleeper as he is an individual. Apparently, according to his parents, he sometimes kicks and punches in his sleep. He also moves around a lot when asleep, and he sometimes finds himself in awkward positions when he wakes. ( One time he woke up with the upper half of his body hanging out of the bed; That couldn’t have been good for his spine. ) When he was younger, he also used to sleep walk. He would occasionally get out of bed and sleep walk into his brothers or parents room and crawl into their bed. Or sometimes, he’d just stand and stare at them the whole night ( or until they woke and brought him back to bed ). Stress definitely triggers his less than desirable sleeping habits. He’s not as bad of a sleeper these days, he hopes, because Sicheng hasn’t complained to him about any of the above mentioned as of yet.
What is the character afraid of?He’s ‘selectively’ afraid of the dark. He’s not afraid of dark, unknown places. He loves the dark, unknown of the night. The indiscriminate nature of the shadows that he can play around in. He loves the freedom that darkness comes with. He’s not afraid of open, dark places. Neither is he afraid of enclosed, dark spaces – like a storage closet. What he is afraid of, is the darkness of familiar places. Like his bedroom, bathroom – his home. He’s afraid of that little stretch of corridor back in his family’s home during the night, with its much-too-dim lights. He’s afraid of how that one corner in the mom’s kitchen looks so dark during nighttime. So dark that it feels like it could swallow him whole. He’s spooked when the curtains in his bedroom casts occasional shadows in the dim darkness when moonlight hits it in a certain way. Home, is his safe place. Is his constant. Elsewhere, he is always ready, always prepared, willing for unexpected change. But home is where he expects everything to remain constant. And perhaps, it’s some sort of residual fear brought over from childhood. He was afraid of the dark as a child, but grew out of it; Though he still remained afraid of darkness in the same places he’d felt the greatest fear. ❈He’s also afraid of being too emotionally attached to people, or being too emotionally open. Doyoung, is by nature, a free-spirited individual. Thoughts of being weighed down by such attachments scares him even if he does, to a certain extent crave for them. He’s also cognisant of how emotional of an individual he is, so he’s even more reluctant to get attached. Because he knows he would get carried away.
