Very excited to announce that today is the release of the debut album from the Mike Bono Group. These guys are not only incredible musicians, but they also happen to be my best friends. We had a really beautiful time making this in the Spring, and we're all excited to finally be able to share it.

On March 30th at a studio in the heart of Brooklyn, I recorded some music with two of the greatest guitar players I know - Mike Bono and Julian Lage. After recording a tune for Mike's upcoming record, they had time left over to play some more music. Here is a free improvisation from that session.

My good friend Mike Bono is going to be making a record next March with his group. They are some of the best musicians I have ever known, and they also happen to be some of my best friends. Mike is one of the most phenomenal guitar players I have ever seen, and all of the players in the group are on that same level. The record is also going to feature a duet between Mike and Julian Lage. I'm fortunate to be recording/mixing this album along with one Charlie Van Kirk.

Mike is currently trying to raise money for the project, and it would mean the world to him, and all of us involved, if you would check out his video and donate.
