Turnaround For The Leafs
Although the Toronto Maple Leafs are still last in their conference and don’t have a record that is that promising, they are definitely turning things around. And who can we thank for this? I think it’s quiet obvious. Mike Babcock has turned this team into something that fans will enjoy watching. You can tell with the players sticks on the ice, the plays, the passes, and the production on the power play that it is all Mike Babcock. The leafs don’t even have a star player like Patrick Kane or John Tavares. Players like Leo Komorav and Tyler Bozak are really standing out! Bozak getting the third star of the week proves this. Also, the leafs shutting out the LA Kings and beating the Islanders last night proves this isn’t the same team. I believe trading Kessel was a step in the right direction. People were projecting him to have 50 points this year. I find that very unlikely. He never impressed me. All he does is score he doesn’t hit, or do anything else I find him so one dimensional and lazy to be honest but that’s my opinion. The leafs will probably still finish last in the conference but I project them to do well next year, who knows they could move up with the Montreal Canadiens not doing so well with the loss of their star goalie Carey Price.
