"Writing graffiti is just actually signing the landscape and declaring it art. As Duchamp did by signing the urinal, now we just sign the landscape, rather than trying to represent it or document it. We declare it ours, and it really is. It is the détournement of the city. It is like a continuous remix of everything that has gone before; all we do is put our twist on and try to re-style it."
