There was no better time for her shitty car to stop than when it was pouring rain. It was early as fuck - early enough no one in their right mind was out and about, especially not in the current weather. Unfortunately, Aria had stayed at the shop longer than usual and accidentally fallen asleep at her desk. There was a lot of inventory catching up to do after her small break recovering from the Blood Moon. Now the sun was coming up and she’d never even gotten home. To make matters worse, that meant her phone was never put to charge and was now dead in her pocket.
She came out of her car and looked towards where her house was. Still a couple of miles. The only nearby building she could make in the rain was a bar so Aria made a bee line towards it just to watch someone about to lock up. “Wait!” She called out. Aria stopped in front of them, caught her breath for two heartbeats and raised a hand. She already felt soaked through her skin. “I’m sorry but could you please do me a huge favor and let me use a phone? My car’s fucked, my cellphone’s dead and I don’t know what else to do.”
