How to the ROs + Revenant react to a very clumsy MC but not a normal clumsy one but a super dangerously clumsy one (e.i: losing their footing in a very high staircase or from a roof but luckily a tree broke their fall)?
So sorry this took so long, Anon! I hope you like it!
Clumsy MC:
Astasus: Is constantly on edge - if he doesn't have his eyes on you at all times he's borderline hysterical. He will never let you fall though. If you do, you can count on him to be there to break your fall, even if he has to take it in your stead. If he has to he'll wrap you in blankets and pillows to try and keep you safe - if worst comes to worst he will carry you everywhere.
Eratine: The first few times he thinks it's hilarious. Then he starts to notice just how dangerous your accidents are and he starts to keep an eye on you the best he can. Only thing is he's not exactly graceful either, so any attempt he makes to save you makes the situation that much worse. He'll deny that he tried to help if you ever ask - he's far too embarrassed.
Bernadine: Tries to mitigate it somewhat if she's within reach, but if you aren't friends then she's content to let nature take its course. When you get close though her worries shoot up exponentially. She'll make signs and leave them wherever she thinks you might have an accident as a reminder to hopefully watch your step.
Brigid/Hesychia: Will chew you out when you get hurt, and will glare at you if you even think of heading somewhere dangerous - you will feel her eyes on your back wherever you go. If it's a minor fall she'll laugh at you, but she's probably one of the most vigilant in watching over you to make sure you're okay. She'll try to mitigate the worst of the crumbling staircases, and she'll cut the branches of the trees in the greenhouse to make sure you can't reach them and climb up.
Miki-Tane: Will also laugh when you fall, but it's mostly awkward. The second hand embarrassment is strong with this one. The danger of your little accidents has them swooping in to help from seemingly out of nowhere - it's effortless, giving off the appearance of a valiant knight. You're never truly hurt whenever they're around, but know that deep inside watching you wipe out time and time again is slowly killing them lmao.
Diacinth: If he's within reach he will try to help, but he'll second guess himself halfway through and the both of you will tumble. He's on edge, and will almost start to avoid you just to avoid the panic typically associated with watching you trip to your seeming death. As he gets closer to you, he'll try his best to help from the shadows; helping with trying to accident-proof the halls and keeping an eye on you from the shadows. This often ends up with him just as injured as you however, but he's always with you to try and break the fall.
Nonnatus: Is always there to bandage you up when you fall - after a while he starts to have nightmares of the injuries he can't fix. He's constantly fretting over you, taking on the role of a mother hen. He's cursing as he walks in front of you and warns of any potential threat, clearing the way and cussing you out the whole time. He's really worried, and he hates patching you up.
Elia: They don't have all that much influence on the material world, but they do what they can, even if that means turning your neck just right so you don't snap it at the bottom of the stairs. If they weren't a ghost already Elia would swear you were going to kill them. Will yank you back from danger to the point where you're almost more injured by them than anything else. At the end of the day though most of your accidents are hilarious to them, and they will make fun of you mercilessly. They just wish your klutzyness wasn't so death-defying.
Revenant: Is on the verge of killing you himself. The sheer panic he feels every time he watches you do anything has him pulling his hair out. You're his contractor - he's duty bound to keep you safe even if that's from yourself. He's constantly grumbling about you behind your back to himself.
The Ros react to the mc being the most innocent looking thing but actually a evil person that just using them to accomplish their goal?
Astasus/Vitalius: Through it all, he'll be in denial. With all you've been through, there's just no way. The mental gymnastics he goes through to justify you is borderline Olympic, but even after he realizes he can't lie to himself anymore, he still can't find it in himself to hate you. If you need him... well, he'll just have to work hard to make sure he's always useful.
Eratine: You're just like everyone else - he can't forgive you. Then again, maybe he's the idiot for getting his hopes up in the first place. Part of him wants to use you like you used him, but deep down he knows he can't manage it. He's wary of you now, but you never really managed to gain his trust in the first place - no one really does.
Bernadine: She's not particularly bothered by it. After all, she's doing the same thing. She just doesn't have the time to worry about your motivations day in and day out. You're useful to her, and she's useful to you. In her mind, this is how all relationships should be. That way, she won't be hurt when you die just like everyone else.
Brigid/Hesychia: She's cynical - she never really believed in the innocent persona you put up. Seeing it however is a whole other story, and she'd be lying to herself if she said she wasn't disappointed. Perhaps in you she saw something beyond the cynicism, the base need for survival. It was short, but it was nice while it lasted.
Miki-Tane: They're glad - with that mindset, you might just make it out of here. Despite being used, MT just doesn't have it in them to hate you. If they can help, they'll bend over backwards to try. They do just genuinely want you to live a good life, and if those are the methods you have to do it with, then so be it. They'll be used.
Diacinth: Is amazed you think he's useful - if that's what you need him for then he's happy to be of assistance. He's not used to being needed, so he'll do anything if you ask him to. At first he might be hurt that you were just pretending to be friendly, but his desire to be useful will win out in the end, and he'll stick closer than ever.
Nonnatus: He's beyond betrayed - he won't trust you ever again. He can't. He'll go through every effort in the book to rid himself of you; he'll avoid you and be actively hostile whenever you're around.
Elia: Isn't surprised - aren't they doing the same, after all? If you both have a shared goal, why not use each other to achieve your means? They're sturdier than most, they can handle it. People are people, after all, and they didn't really expect anything different. Self interest trumps all else.
Revenant: It's his literal job description so he's not bothered, though he's impressed with how easily you manage to fool people with your fake persona. He likes selfish people - finds it less tedious to handle as opposed to people who lie to themselves and others that they're good people. He finds it really funny.
Thank you for the ask! Surprisingly I really struggled with this one lmao.
I'm sorry to say that the only people excited about dressing up would be Astasus and MT. The rest of are doing only the absolute bare minimum, or are using it to be witty/sacrilegious.
Vitalius/Astasus:
He'd count down the days until he could bring out this puppy - he really likes horses, and thinks it'd be really cool to give people piggy back rides.
Eratine:
Would be forced into a costume by the others, and in the end this is the best they could do.
Bernadine:
She likes robots, and hates the idea of putting effort into something as useless as Halloween - this is what she'd come up with.
Brigid/Hesychia:
A fairy dressing up as a fairy - with the fake wings hung over her real ones. She thinks she's very clever.
Miki-Tane:
They're always looking for ways to say 'suck it' to the church, and a demon nun in fishnets is exactly the way they do it on Halloween. Will break their ankles though in those heels, but they refuse to take them off.
Diacinth:
Figures a ghost is on brand, but he's so nervous about being seen like this that he can't even manage to cut holes into the sheet. He and MT will be tripping into each other all night.
Nonnatus:
Will only put as much effort as he has to, and refuses to look trashy so he'll think about his costume a little more. Like B/H, he thinks he's very witty.
Elia:
Can't actually dress up since they're already doing the whole 'ghost in a sheet' bit. They consider the "Boo! I'm a scary ghost!" plate their costume.
Revenant:
Someone else who really wants to take a dump on the church.
idk either lmao this is my first time doing something like this. Also, this took me so much time to think about! Surprisingly difficult question.
Mauve: Unpopular Opinions of the RO's (plus me lmao)
Nonnatus was the first one that came to mind when I saw this lmao. Of course his unpopular opinion is that the Church can do no wrong and that they're the best! He's been cancelled by the other students. He's very pro church.
Older Astasus/Vitalius has quite a few unpopular opinions, but baby Astasus is kind of a struggle to think of. The only one I can think of for him right now is that he'd be a die-hard defender of pineapple on pizza.
Bernadine's easy - she hates music. She can't stand it when it's near her or anything.
Eratine hates pets for two reasons a) he can barely take care of himself, let alone shoulder the responsibility for keeping something else breathing and b) he's never actually seen a lot of these animals in person so they kind of freak him out.
Brigid/Hesychia - It's unpopular depending on where you are in Gohslan, but she's a die-hard fae imperialist. Within fae territory it's expected - everywhere else it's akin to saying: "I like eating babies," and you will be judged for it.
Miki-Tane - I think they'd imply they do it ironically, but I can Miki defending and genuinely loving all the Disney sequels.
Diacinth - He hates patterns on clothes, and while denim isn't something he's super familiar with, he'd be the poster boy for the Canadian Tuxedo (denim on denim).
Elia - The time as a ghost has rotted their brain, and now they think bizarre food combos are actually the best thing ever. Biggest example of this is hotdogs and peanut butter. Elia's convinced that if they could eat, they'd love hotdogs and peanut butter.
Revenant - Hates transportation of all kinds. If he had his way, people should walk everywhere.
Me (J) - My unpopular opinion is that the prequel trilogy is better than all the other movies in Star Wars combined. I thought the originals were boring, and the sequel trilogy was disjointed and weird to watch. Admittedly I only recently saw them, but yeah - prequels for the win. Pod racing, baby.
Is the ask meme still going?if so,rose, cream and frost for the Cis and you pls :3c
It is! Thank you so much for the ask! I put this under a read-more because it got very long. ❤️❤️❤️
Rose (Favourite Scent On A Person)
Astasus: He really likes perfumes/colognes with floral scents. He's a big fan of flowers.
Eratine: When someone smells sweet, like they've been baking.
Bernadine: She loves the smell of sawdust and metal shavings - grease, all of that. It reminds her of her favourite place to be.
Brigid/Hesychia: She's another one that likes the smell of cologne/perfume, but it's more because it smells luxurious, like someone has their crap together.
Miki-Tane: They love the smell of rain lingering on someone's clothes and hair - the smell of the must clinging to their clothes of the damp and leaking halls of the castle calms them somewhat.
Diacinth: The smell of soil and herbs that lingers when someone spends time in the greenhouse is his favourite smell on a person.
Nonnatus: The smell of fresh laundry and dry air - the smell of cleanliness is soothing to him.
Elia: They love the smell of dust and age that hangs in the air of abandoned places - makes them feel like they're not alone in the places they've been left behind.
Me: I really love the smell of old spice and saw dust - it reminds me of when I was younger and I'd play with my great-grandfather in his shop.
Cream (Tattoos/Piercings?)
Astasus: He has none, but he's excited to get the tracking piercings sorcerers get when they graduate from apprentices.
Eratine: Spoilers, sorry.
Bernadine: She has none, but she really wants to get as many tattoos and piercings as possible. The church is against it, and that's her main motivator.
Brigid/Hesychia: She also has none, and while she'd like to get some piercings on her ears she doesn't feel strongly either way.
Miki-Tane: They tried to give themselves tattoos when they were younger, but all it did was put a bunch of multi-coloured specks and lines on their arms. They also really want to get some piercings, but they're worried about permanently screwing up their ears.
Diacinth: Spoilers, sorry. Invisible boy is invisible.
Nonnatus: He has a tattoo of a name that's been scratched and burned off, so you can no longer make out the letters. His ears have also been pierced in multiple places but he's been trying to get them to seal up. Because the church is against body modification, he has no desire to get any and he's super ashamed of what he has.
Elia: They have none, and while they're not sure if they could even get any on account of being a ghost, they think they're pretty cool.
Me: I have my ears pierced, and I've been saving up to get more done (I've heard that daith piercings are good for migraines so I want that in particular). Something else I really want to get done are the traditional algonquin tattoos, but finding a traditional body artist has been close to impossible lmao. I'm kind of worried there's none left.
Frost (-core)
(I used this website to look up cores)
Astasus: Adventure-core all the way. Despite the situation, he feels the world is at his fingertips, and he's just waiting for the right time to reach out and grasp it.
Eratine: Daze-core. He feels trapped and lost most days, wandering in a world that's endless and the same all at once.
Bernadine: Goblin-core. She's a collector of any and anything - everything can have a use, and nothing is useless.
Brigd/Hesychia: Princess-core. She knows who she is, it's just a matter of being who that person should be.
Miki-Tane: Feral-core. Things are what they are, and if life is going to be miserable no matter what, they might as well try to squeeze as much entertainment out of it as they can.
Diacinth: Haven-core. All he wants is to feel safe.
Nonnatus: Warm-core. While he's extremely devout and loyal to the church, he just wants to feel safe and enjoy things that make him happy.
Elia: Weird-core. All the sparkle and glam of their lackadaisical exterior can't hide the existential dread and fear of the unknown.
Me: Ah, I'm a simple cottage-core girl. I love flowing dresses, and gardening is one of my greatest joys. My reserve is deep in the forest, isolated and with some of the older folks living completely off the grid in small, quaint cabins on the lake. Cottage-core really fits in with how I was raised.
green and blue for the Cis + the older student pls.
And for author, please remember to rest well and drink lot of water ok? :3
This is very kind - thank you very much, Anon! Every time I get one of these messages I actually do take a drink lmao. I've started putting a glass of water next to me while I work ☺️ Thank you for the ask!
