See that just makes me sad; For people today, women especially, to think that acts of sexual violence and rape are sometimes permissible or justified is truly upsetting. No matter the actions of either individual prior to the act, non-consensual sex is rape and the instituter of the act is, in turn, a rapist. Having to fight to define that in class really cast a shadow on my perception of the social mentality.
