Auspicious foxes have a vaunted place in Far Eastern mythos. They are potent shapeshifters and mages, with many a 'tail' and even a hierarchy. The wild ones have a mean streak, while others ward off evil and act as divine emissaries–the best of them akin to kami themselves.

More crack: What if Mikuzume steals Naruto by taking her home with him and buries him in her yard (because he's HER big brother now, and she's keeping him)? Or Madara? (Or Hashirama, even? I mean, can't get Madara without Hashirama, so she steals him too.)

Like. Naruto and/or Madara just take a snooze somewhere outside, cause it's nice out, and then they just wake up covered in dirt? (How big of a pile it is depends on how big it needs to be to be funny.)

Anon I'm cackling 😂 Mikuzume was already accidentally kidnapped-adopted, but now she's going to reverse kidnap-adopt in turn. Why stop at one brother? She'll take the entire set!

Edit: Because I forgot to add, Sai wakes up, sees the dirt and immediately blames everyone else for this misfortune. He’s not entirely wrong...

*gets Mikuzume a nice big, comfy dog bed + dog toys* Honestly, it's better if you can just give a fox a whole room to themselves (preferably with floor that are easy to clean) full of enrichment, but hopefully she'd like this? Poor baby needs some toys to play with! Does Naruto have any old toys he could give Mikuzume/that she could steal? That could be really sweet! -🐦

This comes up in the next Naruto PoV but she has a little nest under his bed, made of stolen towels and blankets. She took his sleeping cap too and refuses to give it back. Because of her shapeshifting, Mikuzume likes to spend half her time in other animal forms/as a human and mess with things in Naruto's apartment in the middle of the night. She likes the TV remote with its buttons, the fridge, the food, anything she can get into. When she's mad at Naruto she'll sit right next to one of his plants and shove her face in it and pretend to bite it.
