speaking of children, today I took Mil Mil with me to my doctor’s appointment. everyone loved her. I took her out of her carseat and let her stand in front of me and practically chew a new hole into my wallet. :/
Then I took her to El Pollo Loco, cause I was hungry; and it was down the street from the doctor’s office. She was staring at my food with wide eyes, hands trying their best to dig right into my mashed potatoes. Ha ha. Tore some chicken and tortilla up for her and she was in heaven. That and I gave her some mac and cheese and she just went to town! Omg.
I had a few comments from some people around us. This guy kept getting water from the fountain (we were right next to the fountain so that I could get up and refill my soda without leaving Mil Mil by herself), and he kept smiling at her and saying hi. Near the end of the visit he said he adored her and played with her hand. Mil Mil being who she was, was shy and didn’t smile but at least she wasn’t crying!
As I buckled her back into her carseat, this couple who was getting into their truck told me I was such a good father for taking care of my little one. I smiled and said thank you.
These types of compliments make my day, and it’s one of the reasons I don’t mind as much taking my children anywhere. That, and I like spending time with them.
