The first time hearing the Media and Information Literacy got me thinking about its relevance to my strand. Little did I know, this has slowly becomes one of the interesting subjects I’ve ever came to encounter.
There’s a lot more about the subject that I am not aware of. Yes, I already have a basic knowledge about it, but what I didn’t know that there is an in depth meaning to it. It helped me discover things that are beneficial for my growth as a student and a person in a society. It taught me what the media and information does and whatnot, the dos and don’ts, and the pros and cons of it.
Media has been a part of our lives ever since. It has been existing at the same time humans have come forth to the world. As humans evolve, so does the media. We live with it and that is why we encounter and use it almost everyday.
As we go through the first lessons, I realized how important this is to every learners especially the youth who are engaged with the use of technology. We should be properly guided on how to use media and information wisely. This subject serves as a guide for everyone to avoid misconceptions and misunderstandings.
The first part may have finally reached its end, but the journey to learning more about media and information does not stop here.
