hello! Can you recommend any other Australian studyblrs? It’s great to get advice + read stuff from people in the same system haha also really love your studyblr + your advice is so good!
Hey! Aw thanks! Yeah, it’s hard to get advice from those in the same system - doesn’t help that things are different in each state.
I’m sure there’s a few Australian studyblrs out there; just depends on what level you’re studying at.
For university I’d highly recommend:
@optomstudies
@mildstudies
the team over at @roadmapplus
@isabella-study
@joannastudies
@psychstvdying
@chipstudyblr
High school/ cusp of entering uni:
@flowersandpens
@kaylastudys
@melbournestudent
@alistudys
AND A FUCKTON OF ANONS IN MY INBOX I AM SO SORRY FOR PROCRASTINATING ON REPLYING
Also check out @joannastudies‘s Australian Studyblr Network
I actually… haven’t met any studyblrs who, like me, have graduated university and are working (aka fledgling babies in the adult world). But would be keen to meet some!
+ if you’re from australia (and not currently in the deep hell that is your state’s ATAR required exam) give us a shout and let this anon know who you are!
Hey guys! So I’ve had this (I guess I could say?) studyblr for quite a while now but I’ve never really posted much original content since I use this mainly as a platform for inspiration. For the new year I thought maybe I should have a fresh start and start posting more as well. I made an introduction post a while back but I felt like redoing it so enjoy :)
ABOUT My name’s Lydia and I’m from Malaysia. I’m entering my last year in high school which makes me 17 y/o. > Chinese (but totally can’t speak Mandarin since I was brought up mostly speaking English) > INFJ / Slytherin / Libra > Fluent in English and Malay > Thinking of studying architecture/interior design after high school > ig: @l.chg
INTERESTS > I’m such a geek for personality stuff (i.e. the Myers Briggs test) > Poetry and art > Main genre of music I listen to would be indie/electronic > Youtubers I watch most of the time: Achievement Hunter/Rooster Teeth, doddleoddle, Will Darbyshire, Dan and Phil (and the occasional Buzzfeed Unsolved) > I watch some TV series’s and anime (i.e. Stranger Things, Westworld, Erased, Another) > Hmu if you want to know more!
CLASSES I’M TAKING (’17/’18) I’m in the full science stream in my school so pretty much all the science subs which kill me. (Fun fact: In Malaysia, students are streamed into different streams; full science, semi science or art; according to our grades and we have subjects set for us besides the few extra subjects we have a choice to take; i.e. art, computer science)
> Biology, Chemistry, Physics > Modern Maths, Additional Maths > English, Bahasa Melayu > History and Moral Studies
STUDYBLRS THAT HAVE INSPIRED ME @studiesphere @mildstudies @procrastilate @studie-s @acadehmic @studyingangels @literary-sushi @theaestheticstudyblog @studyandtea @stvdyblr @studinspo @theorganisedstudent @cortexstudy @milkystudies @lostlxmb @astralstudent @aestheticstudying
bullet journalling. it is a creative outlet for people as well as a way for people to be productive. after many requests, here is a guide to bullet journalling to help you along the way of your bullet journal journey <33
what is bullet journalling?
a customisable organisation system which can consist of ur to-do list, sketchbook, diary and notebook (or even all of the above)
also known as “bujo” bc of “bu” from bullet and “jo” from journal
check out this video here for the original bullet journal video by ryder carroll
supplies
a pen
a notebook/binder/journal (depending on ur preference eg. dotted, grid or lined paper as well as budget)
a highlighter and / or a marker of your choice
other decorative supplies eg. washi tape & photos
the supplies will depend on how much u want to decorate ur bujo!
bullet journal spreads
note: a bujo spread is a two pages of a notebook whereas a layout is the style / design of the spread.
index (to refer to when finding pages)
key (used to identify what each bullet means)
future log (events that are happening in the current year)
monthly spread (consisting of events happening on the current month)
weekly spread (consisting of events happening on the current week)
daily spread (consisting of events happening on the current day)
additional spreads eg. movies & tv shows to watch, books to read,
trackers (often used to track basic habits such as exercising, brushing ur teeth, drinking water and more)
advice
it’s ok to make a mistake in ur bullet journal !!!!!!!!
please don’t feel intimidated by other people’s bullet journals
do what works for u (eg. for me personally, habit trackers don’t work at all)
don’t be afraid to experiment between different layouts in your bullet journal
if the bullet journalling method doesn’t work for u after continuous experimenting, it’s allg :))
inspiration
check out my bujo tag here!
i also recommend checking out @studywithinspo, @eintsein & @stillstudies

the sad truth:
without coffee, i’m super sleepy without coffee, i lose out on productivity without coffee, my mood’s affected adversely without coffee, i am nothing.
30/jan/17 Yay first monthly spread in my bullet journal!! 😄😄 i totally forgot to do it for jan because the start of the year was so busy for me but now, i think i’m going to try to prioritise my planning more ✨
