Shaheen Bagh’s bright legacy lives on. What began in December 2019 with a few Muslim women protesting the CAA on a cold Delhi night grew into a 100-day, women-led sit-in that reshaped visibility, courage, and citizenship. Even after the protest ended, its spirit carried into community organising and healing efforts. Miles2Smile—founded by Shaheen Bagh organiser Aasif Mujtaba—now runs schools, trauma centres, and learning hubs for families affected by violence.
