It was a prompt I saw around last winter on kinkmeme, but of course now I can’t find it at all. :( Anyway, the idea was that the dwarves get to Erebor without a help of the burglar. Inside the mountain Thorin would search for the Arkenstone (I guess in the prompt it was implied that Thorin wasn’t actually sure how the Arkenstone was supposed to look like?), but instead of finding a jewel, he finds Bilbo who is the Arkenstone, the heart of the mountain.
Sadly I don’t recall seeing the prompt filled on LJ or Ao3, which is a sHAME because it’s such a lovely idea! \(`__´ )/
