Sonic, Knuckles and Tails for my AU.

Personalities:

Sonic: Sonic is a freespirited and hopeful individual, and cares immensely about others. He is impulsive and snarky, and gets bored easily. This caused a lot of chaos in the village he grew up in. He also has a tendency to turn everything into a joke, or use humor as a way to cope with things. He will always do what he believes is the right thing. He makes friends easily, and hates lying or keeping secrets. However, behind all of that, is deep seated abandonment issues and the fear of losing people. Despite making friends easily, he can be hard to truly get close to, to TRULY get to know him. He is slow to anger, and very forgiving of people, almost to a fault. The one thing that will set him off immediately is hurting people he cares about. Only a few have made this mistake, and it never ends well. He is terrified of the water, and can’t swim because of it. He lost a friend to drowning growing up, and because of that refuses to go anywhere near the water. He also loves sports and music, and is incredibly competitive in both. Honestly he’s really competitive in general, and hates losing. All of that being said, he has severe untreated ADHD and suffers from executive dysfunction, which can sometimes manifest as him sleeping all day. He has trouble accepting the fact that he deserves to be loved and accepted for who he is, or even that he deserves to be cared for when he’s not doing well. Being sick or hurt makes him feel like a liability. He also hates people seeing him screw up, or even screwing up in the first place. 

Tails: Tails is a shy, socially awkward fox who is about eight years old. He is kind beyond measure, and always wants to help. He’s incredibly intelligent, in fact he has a genius-level intellect. However, he has serious self-esteem and abandonment issues, due to his childhood where he was abandoned and bullied constantly. He doesn’t think he’s capable of anything, let alone helping anyone. His village thought his two tails were a bad omen, and unfortunately the fox kit seems to have bought into that line of thinking about himself. He considers himself to be bad luck, and because of that and the bullying, he tends to avoid people. He WANTS to help people, he just doesn’t think he’s capable of it. He doesn’t get angry easily, and doesn’t make friends very easily due to what was previously stated. However, if you do befriend this little fox, you have a friend for life. He’s loyal to a fault, and would do just about anything to help out those he truly cares for. He’s really hard on himself, and in all honesty doesn’t talk much unless you get him talking about something he finds exciting or interesting. Underneath all of the self esteem and abandonment issues, he’s a huge nerd. He loves technology of all kinds, and he’s also a big fan of comic books and video games. He’s always inventing or creating something new, always trying to outdo his previous creations. 

Knuckles: Knuckles is an angry and closed off individual, and doesn’t really understand a lot of social interactions, or the way other cultures work for that matter. He is easily confused by situations he doesn’t understand, and especially by technology. He’s also quite naive in situations that have nothing to do with war or combat. He is easily tricked and manipulated, due to having spent so much of his life alone. He is not easy to gain the trust of beyond that however. Once you do, you have a friend and ally for life. He usually strikes first and asks questions later. However, he is a brilliant strategist and planner in combat, and he is a powerful ally to have on your side. He’s also incredibly stubborn, and once he gets his mind set on something, its hard to convince him otherwise. Under all this, he’s incredibly lonely. He had struggled to make friends as a child before he lost his tribe, and afterwards it became almost impossible. He prefers to be alone most days, and hates being touched. If he sees a red flag about something he cares about, he tends to ignore it until he can’t anymore. He believes very strongly in justice and honor as well.
