Mikoto honestly drives me crazy cause I think even many of his fans are missing the main point of his character. They overanalyze every spoken line and every MV shot looking for some hint of maliciousness or manipulation when one of Yamanaka's main theses with Mikoto as a character IS THAT PEOPLE DO EXACTLY THAT TOWARDS THE MENTALLY ILL, ESPECIALLY TOWARDS THOSE WITH LESS ACCEPTABLE DISORDERS LIKE DID. 

This is not to say that Mikoto can't lie or be selfish, I just think that fans tend to look at his writing from the worse possible angle while ignoring every other character when they lie in the viewer's face. I still forgive the other characters for lying because the message of this series is to extend grace to them despite their misdeeds. While it's not wrong to say system responsibility is a topic relevant to Mikoto, it is not the main theme because that implies a punitive outlook, contradicting with the anti-punitive message of the series as a whole. 

I'm really not sure how the next video drama will be handled. Will it handhold the viewers like Amane's and Kazui's, or will it be overly harsh towards Mikoto, but with that harshness being implied as wrong when we get his full crime report? Or will his crime report omit information that will only be revealed after the trials are done? I hope the last one isn't it but it has been implied that the videos are not objective ever since Jackalope said that he told us to vote Shidou guilty in the first trial.
