The main reason I mentioned the intimacy behind their bonds is because Hiro Mashima paints their overall relationship as being someone more then them just being friends similar to how Gruvia, Jerza and Gajevy are hence the distinction between how there scenes of intimacy are shown to be different then all the moments below that show how the closeness of friends are since their bonds were presented that way. I’m not saying friends can’t be close or intimate in any way, all I’m simply saying is the way they are being depicted is VASTLY different.
