Developed only a quarter sweep after the Divergent Imperium declared independence from Alternia, the C515-R Enhanced Heavy Service Rifle was commissioned specifically by Grand Admiral Amdira Xeclis for surface infantry forces. It fires the same 7.3x55mm full-power cartridge as most Alternian rifles, and its gas system and receiver layout were both heavily inspired by the Alternian Empire’s Mk. IV IR-R series. It feeds from a 23-round box magazine, with short 7-round and extended 31-round magazines available. It’s also compatible with 48-round IP-6 LMG magazines. The receiver is constructed from 3D printer extruded steel with a bolt carrier group made mostly from cast invar. The stock and handguard are both made from high-density bio-polymer, but wooden, plastic and metal furniture is also available. The C515-R is well liked by Divergent Imperium surface infantry, being quite noticeably more accurate than the Alternian-produced Mk. IV IR-Rs it was created to replace.
