After the initial design phase, I tried another round using red and blue color schemes to emphasize the classic superhero connection, and because it made it a bit easier to make all the elements clearer. I think now that the color schemes kind of held the process back, but it's all part of it in the end :)

These were the first two made with the new color scheme in mind. Meh, nothing special, but I do like, for example, the weight of the cape on Anna's shoulders in the first picture, and the idea of removable sleeves. I held on to those ideas for future designs.

These two are functionally identical, with the second picture being a more fleshed out variation of the first. At this point, I began to play with the idea of the red of the body being a lighter shade than the red of the cape, to make it more readable in motion.

These two were my logical conclusion to this particular line of thought, and while I think they stray a bit from the original concept of "regal", I still find them to be solid designs to be tinkered with :)

When Brotherhood Breaks: What Happened Cuttack?

As a proud Katakia, my heart sinks writing this. Cuttack, our beloved Millennium City with over 1,000 years of communal harmony, witnessed something unthinkable during the recent Maa Durga idol immersion. These were sketches I made before I started superimposing them on photos. I still really like them, but it's pretty apparent that they're more spontaneous experiments, and not all of them translate well to 3-D

As of right now, I'm trying out white and purple as Anna's primary color scheme, and I took elements from various of the older designs to make the current streamlined one that, although still too simple for my taste, is one I'm proud of ;)
