Aibou, My Aibou

The weather was in excellent condition, and Atem had decided to take a walk to the park while wearing the Millennium Puzzle. The very thought of not seeing his friends was continuing to eat away at his mind, and working at the arcade could only do so much to distract him from his own thoughts. Since his return, he has wanted desperately to see his Aibou, to be sure he is alright. After all, he felt horribly guilty for leaving him not once, but twice—even with hesitation.

“It is what you make of it… What matters isn’t if you win or lose, but how you play the game.” Atem said sagely with a smile, and his heart happily swelled from Isaac’s enthusiasm. It reminded him of Jounouchi’s steadfast determination. It was a bittersweet memory that also made him sad because he missed everyone immensely, and he desperately wanted to see his friends again…

Atem wrapped his arms around Bakura in an embrace and laid his head on the other’s shoulder. He wasn’t necessarily sad, but he wanted to be held and maybe petted by the white haired man. “How was your day?” He asked softly as he breathed in Bakura’s scent.
