In Legacy of the Duelist, the Tag Force series, the World Championship series, the Duel Terminal machines, and Millennium Duels you can duel Yubel. One of those might be where they get the sprite/deck ideas for Duel Links!

*shudders at the thought of how tough a Level 50 Yubel would be*

o.o Someone found a ton of unreleased characters who were at least named in Duel Links’ data. There’s a ton of GX characters and some DM characters! They could be leftover assets from other games like Millennium Duels or Legacy of the Duelist, though, so we might not see them for a good while, if ever.

Hmm. Going by the Tag Force games’ inclusion of both Paradox Brothers and the Yu-Gi-Oh games’ tendency to reuse assets, other characters we might see in Duel Links eventually could include Tristan, Ryou Bakura, Duke, or Solomon Muto.

If Millennium Duels or Legacy of the Duelist’s assets are reused we could see Rebecca, Mokuba, Arkana, Lumis, Umbra, Strings, Seeker, Panik, Shadi, or Bonz, too.

If Mokuba is in Duel Links we might see characters like Rebecca, Serenity, Tristan, Duke, Bonz, or Ryou Bakura too! Millennium Duels, Duel Generation, and Legacy of the Duelist had a lot of characters like Shadi, the Ghouls, and regular Marik too. Maybe we’ll get ALL the characters!

Neat, Rebecca is in Millennium Duels! She uses a Shadow Ghoul deck like in her first appearance.

Wow, Shadi has SUCH cheery deck titles XD (I like how they reference his role in the early manga. Reckless Greed is like that professor guy that got his soul eaten by Ammit!)
