Revolution Rev Pils on tap at Miller's Pub in Chicago. A 3 of 4. A solid pilsner with some faint grassy hops in the nose, and a light, clean body. Would be hard to pick out of a pack probably, but it's clean and light and is not bad at all.

A pour of Goose Island's 2012 Bourbon County Brand Stout on tap at Miller's Pub in Chicago. A 4 of 4. At 12 years old, this is honestly better than any other BCBS I've had over the years, I think. Super well-integrated, and tons of smoke, roast, oak, and bourbon throughout. A heavy-hitter at 15%, but sips easily and while complex, the flavors work perfectly together. Convinced me to seek out more older Goose Island if given the opportunity.
Goose Island’s Next Coast IPA on tap at Miller’s Pub in Chicago. A 2 of 4. Looks very light and thin, and smells quite strongly of pine. Some light grain sweetness that reminds me of a pilsner up front in the body with some faint citrus notes. Very-easy drinking, as there is not a ton of complexity here.
Whiner Beer Company’s Hell Kitty Kitty on tap at Miller’s Pub in Chicago. A 3 of 4. Smells like your typical Belgian yeast strain with a bit of tropical fruit notes alongside it. The body is nice and dry overall with some spicy yeast notes and not a ton of residual sweetness. Quite nice with food.
Toppling Goliath’s Pompeii IPA on tap at Miller’s Pub in Chicago. A 4 of 4. Tons of bright citrus up front with lots of tropical complexity. Much the same in the body with a lighter, prickly body that carries it all well, and finishes dry and bitter. Quite good.
Two Brothers Red Eye IPA on tap at Miller’s Pub in Chicago. A 3 of 4. Pretty standard pine and citrus hop profile in the nose with a little lighter body than usual. The coffee notes are there, but quite faint - mostly just a slightly fruity/roasty quality in the body. The coffee adds a nice little twist to an otherwise standard IPA.
WarPigs Foggy Geezer IPA on tap at Miller’s Pub in Chicago. A 3 of 4. Nice mix of hop notes -- both more piney and tropical -- in a relatively creamy and juicy body. Not the haziest of the hazy, but the little bit of heft in the body carries some nice fruity sweetness alongside the hops, and finishes dry and clean.
