Jazzy birthday gifts from Susan opened after dinner out with friends. That Bill Evans double album is amazing. Had never heard of it. Trio includes bassist Eddie Gomez and drummer Jack DeJohnette and the recording was done five days after they played together at Montreaux in 1968 and the only recording of this lineup. The album was released in 2016 after being "discovered" as an unreleased master. I can't believe she found it at one of our favorite local shops.
Listened to them with GLP who has an amazing ear and knows so much about both jazz and rock.
