MimicTale!

An AU in which creatures called Mimics appeared among the monsters. Where they came from and how, no one knows, but one thing is known.(In fact, they were one of Gaster's secret experiments, but they managed to escape)

These creatures can absorb a monster's soul and take on its form, causing the monster to die and the Mimic to take its place.

They are dangerous because if the monster had evil intentions in its soul, then with a 100% probability the Mimic will be evil and begin to make the monster’s desire come true.

Which is why the royal guards have to find them and exterminate them.
