Joanne was exhausted, physically and emotionally. She'd just barely managed to win a huge case that had garnered quite a bit of local media attention. It'd involved lots of late nights at the office, lots of research and searching and paperwork. It also involved spending less time with Maureen, something that the diva had been far from happy about.
Not having the energy to go home and argue with her girlfriend, Joanne had instead driven to Alphabet City to gather herself a bit. Knowing that Mark was out filming and that Roger was probably down at Mimi's or something, the lawyer made her way to loft. She threw herself down on the less than comfortable couch, shifting a bit.
She closed her eyes, not even reacting when the door slid open. "As far as Maureen knows, you saw nothing. I'm not here."
