BW absolutely had the better balance between story and gameplay than SuMo tbh
#the gameplay in SuMo was off...#and just really easy#and the cutscenes for things that didnt need a 10#min cutscene#it didnt feel like an exploration at times#they held your hand to every single location#in BW and some of the older titles#you discovered places like Lostlorn Forest or#Mt. Pyre#like the atmosphere in there was gr8 considering it was 3rd gen sprites#or even places like Cinnabar Mansion and the Whirl Islands#the atmosphere is what i think was missing from SuMo#and BW#?#N is fantastic as an anti villain#and as a character#and the theme of truth and ideals and morality was immersed in the setting and gameplay
