WHO: Belle Delacroix & @legitanimo WHERE: Mina’s Chambers, Delacroix Castle WHEN: May 21st, 06:36 am
“Mina,” Knocking on the door loudly enough, she hoped to get the Anchor’s attention. “Are you awake?” Normally, Belle tended to simply barge into a room—who could tell her no?—but considering the early hour, and considering what had just happened not more than a few hours ago, she figured that for once, knocking was not such a bad thing. She had not been able to get a wink of sleep, part of her slightly afraid, another part of her too curious, too busy thinking up explanations for what had happened at the masquerade. Belle needed answers first, sleep could come later.
Something had bothered her about the bloodstained letter. If Bellamy was truly back, why not simply show himself—a much more dramatic and, not to forget, effective approach. That made her assume the letter was fake, but then again, what did she know about the dead? She had heard of a Saint who had powers regarding death, but she had no idea exactly what this person could do. Was this just Bellamy’s ghost possessing someone? Or was their ancestor just a fan of playing games with all of them?
All her thoughts had come back to just one—talking to Mina. Maybe she had heard something in the mind of one of the attendees, maybe she had even felt Bellamy’s mind somewhere. Belle knocked on the door again, slightly louder than the first time, hoping to rouse the girl from her slumber if necessary. Her voice was now even toned with a hint of desperation, maybe that would work. “I really need to talk to you, Mina.”
