So I have been wanting to make TPOF Mina for ages but I've been so uncertain. This is not the final design, its just what I have. I want to keep playing around with the outfit.
Things I know for sure is that Mina handles a lot of background workings of Fox's operations. They are head of security among other things. When I say head of security I do not mean the muscle of it, but the person hand picking his lackies, the one who knows the ins and outs of their cameras, their doors, their IP, building's security system etc etc.
While I drew Mina with their crutches here, when in the presence of others Mina uses a cane for appearances. I just have yet to design the cane~
And while Ren goes by Fox, Mina goes by Pride.
Strade really fucked Mina's leg, they're lucky that it wasn't amputated. Mina and Ren in my lore are stuck with Strade for 3 years before Mina kills Strade. On the anniversary of her kidnapping Strade would take them down to the basement and play, and always ended it with a screw drilled into their right knee. So Mina has taken 3 screws to that knee.
Mina had a custom leg brace Strade made for them, but it only did so much to support them. He often teased it was about time he just cut the limb off before he was killed.
Once Ren got money and the means he gets Mina knee replacement surgery. And he get's a sweet little message lasered onto the steel. Mina also has a wheel chair but is too stubborn to use it in the facility Fox does his work in.
We were discussing "demon forms" in VC and I expressed a desire for a stationary "guard" type for Mina since I have lots of fu dog lore associated with their chow chow beastkin enclave they are from, and an idea of multiple faces and @prussicyume gave me the obvious and best answer which was "Cerberus" Mina. We were also gushing over sphinx monsters too so I did the natural thing.
Demon Strade has typical demon features but, his main design feature is the gaping whole in his chest. I thought if becoming a demon manifest something about your death/physical body/injury why not the demon form also manifest mental wounds?
The Three Heads are as stands....
Center - The Steel Mask
This head is born from Mina's high expectations. This is who Mina wanted to be-- Controlled, composed, untouchable. This head is watchful. This is the Mina who endured, who survived by steeling themselves. They rarely speak, but when they do its firm and decisive, it is the leading head which tries to maintain control of itself and the other two heads. It fools many thinking it is the truest version of her, when it is just their ideal imagination of themselves. It should be noted that the control is not natural, it is forced.
Mina's Right Head - The Broken
This head is born of Strade, he made them break, shattered them and do so quickly. The prolonged humiliation and physical suffering never stopped with Strade. The tears are consent, this head is always crying, even if the other two heads are clam. Sometimes trembling. This is the part of Mina that broke, begged, and felt everything and it felt never ending. This head represents pain that was never resolved, the shame they still carry, and the part of them that was never allowed to recover.
Mina's Left Head - The Hunger
This head is born of Ren. A distorted idea of intimacy and represents sexual traumas. They hunger for closeness warped into something consuming. They confuse affection, need, and control. It doesn't just want pleasure, it wants proximity, ownership, and to be chosen. It has a habit of encouraging closeness even when its unsafe. This head is what Mina became to survive, where being wanted was the same as "safe". Where their sense of intimacy was corrupted by Ren.
